Clean Up

If you are using your own AWS Account to conduct this workshop and you are finished, complete the follow steps to clean up.

Important

You should only complete this clean up section if you do not plan on continuing with this workshop.

Important

Make sure you terminate / delete the resources below to avoid unnecessary charges.

Terminate EC2 instances

Step-by-step to delete VPC A Public AZ2 Server and VPC A Private AZ1 Server

Navigate to EC2 Dashboard Services.

  • Select an EC2 instance.

  • Navigate under "Instance state" and click Terminate.

  • From the "Instance state settings" dialog box, select Terminate.

  • Click the Terminate button.

  • Repeat the steps for the other EC2 instance.

Delete the VPC Endpoints

Step-by-step to delete the KMS and S3 VPC Endpoints
  • Navigate to VPC Dashboard Services.

  • Select the KMS VPC Endpoint you created for VPC A. (You can verify it is for VPC A by looking that the VPC ID from the Details tab)

  • Navigate under Actions and click Delete Endpoint.

  • From the Delete Endpoint dialog box, click the Yes, Delete button.

  • Repeat the steps of the S3 VPC Endpoint

Navigate to Your VPC

  • Select "VPC A" from the list of VPC and from the Actions button select Delete.

  • At the bottom of the "Delete VPC" dialog box, type delete in the field and Click the Delete button.

Delete the Prerequisites CloudFormation Stack

Step-by-step to delete the CloudFormation stack

Navigate to CloudFormation Stacks in the AWS console.

  • Select the stack you created in the prerequisites section NetworkingWorkshopPrerequisites

  • Click Delete

  • From the Delete stack dialog box, click the Yes, Delete button.

Finished

Once you have completed the above steps, you are finished. If you want to continue the workshop later, you can skip this step and use the CloudFormation template in the next step to build the prerequisites.
